bit early

Thanks to everyone who left comments, I appreciate more than you know all the thoughts and prayers. I'm still having a hard time with it, I miss that crazy SOB like you wouldn't believe! The funeral was really nicely decorated. He wasn't much of a flower man so there weren't as many as you would normally see. He would have thrown a fit if there had been. I worked and made photo collages to post all over the place hoping to spark some forgotten memories. I also made a memory album for everyone to put their favorite memories in or just whatever they wanted. After the funeral I gave it to my grandmother. Times are very hard right now and I know there are still many weeks, months and even years of emptiness I have to face. But he went out just the way he wanted...at home and in no pain. He was buried with a picture of the kids on the last day he seen them...and his best friend put a brand new rod and reel in his hand. Hes finally getting to go fishing again!!!
Because Ive been with the family so much I havent had much time to work on anything but I had finished the last set of the brads before everything happened. So Im giving you those today, there are many pieces that arent shown in the preview. Maybe soon things will start to appear normal here.

It really will get easier. But I know there will always be times when you will remember and be a bit sad. I lost my mom in 1987 and every once in a while I'll see something and I'll think oh I need to tell mom and then remember I can't. I've just let those be times of special remembering.

Valarie, my thoughts and prayers ar with you and your family. I just lost my uncle Joe (92) on December 12trh, the service was on December 21st, so Christmas was a sad one at our home. He was more a father and grandfather to me, and the best grandfather to my 4 girls. I know exactly how you feel, but find comfort that he's at peace and free from all illness now. I'm sure he's enjoying his new fishing rod :)
Blessings and hugs

Wow, thank you for your continued generosity even during this very difficult period. I know it will be terribly sad for quite a while. We'll keep you in our thoughts and prayers.
